Pike Place Chowder has two locations right in the heart of downtown Seattle, Pike Place Market and Pacific Place. Whether you are an office worker on a quick break, a convention attendee with 45 minutes, or a visitor who wants to eat somewhere worth remembering, the best lunch in downtown Seattle is always close by.

Why Locals and Visitors Keep Coming Back

Our kitchen starts at 2am every morning. By the time you walk through the door, the chowder has been going for hours, made from scratch, no shortcuts, no compromises on ingredients. Ever. The sourdough bread bowl comes fresh from Grand Central Bakery, one of Seattle's most beloved bakeries. It is the kind of lunch that reminds you what food is supposed to taste like.

What to Order

The New England Clam Chowder in a sourdough bread bowl is where most people start and a lot of people end. Rich, creamy, loaded with clams and potatoes. If you want something more Pacific Northwest, the Smoked Salmon Chowder is alder-smoked salmon in a creamy broth you will not find anywhere else in the city. Not sure? Our chowder samplers let you try a 4-8 at once.

Where to find us

Pike Place Market - Our original location sits right inside Post Alley at Pike Place Market, a short walk from the waterfront, Belltown, and most downtown hotels.

Pacific Place - Our Pacific Place location sits right in the center of downtown, about a five minute walk from the Seattle Convention Center, making it one of the easiest lunch stops for office workers and convention attendees alike. Pacific Place also offers a daily happy hour, plenty of in-door seating and a fuller menu of Pacific Northwest seafood dishes if you have a little more time to sit down.
